Welcome

Every piece of Elizabeth Blythe Jewellery is designed by me, Blythe Cronyn, and handmade in Toronto, Canada by myself and/or a collaboration of local artisans. Each item is then packaged by me personally. Your Elizabeth Blythe piece will arrived wrapped and ready to be gifted! Custom pieces will also come with an accompanying appraisal from an accredited gemologist for your insurance purposes.

Production Time/Delivery

All custom pieces are handmade to order, so please allow 6-8 weeks+ for production in addition to shipping time. As a result, I cannot guarantee exact shipping dates. If you need something by a certain date, please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

Sizing

If you don't know your ring size, the best way to find it out is to go to a local jeweller and have your finger measured. Custom pieces include one complimentary ring sizing if the intended ring is a gift and the size is not readily available.

Payment

Payments through this website are securely processed via Squarespace, or in person through Square. All prices listed/quoted are in Canadian dollars. For custom work I also accept email transfers to info@elizabethblythe.com, PayPal, or cash. 13%HST applies to all Ontario sales, provincial tax rates apply to purchases made within Canada, and for international purchases the client is responsible for any additional taxes or duties imposed by their home country.

Shipping

All orders are shipped express with insurance from Toronto, and all shipping costs are the responsibility of the client. Cost of shipping and insurance will be discussed in advance of shipping.

Any brokerage, duties/taxes charged at customs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Please be advised your ship-to address' border customs will assess the import charges on a case-by-case basis. If deemed applicable, an invoice will be processed to you post-delivery (within 2-4 weeks).

We are not responsible for customs duties/taxes/fees charged at your border; the customer is solely responsible for making the payment and clearing their package with necessary documentation.

While we can aid in customs clearance wherever we can, we do so only as a courtesy as it is the buyer’s sole responsibility. If your order is shipped by FedEx, they will contact you several times if your package needs extra clearance information and it is the buyer’s responsibility to track the package and communicate with their FedEx broker. Please call FedEx to inquire about your broker’s email address if FedEx requires you to submit extra documentation for clearance.

Kindly clear your package as soon as possible as customs may only hold it for a few days before sending it back to us, which will deem it as a Refused Package.

By purchasing something, you agree to have read and understood Elizabeth Blythe’s terms and policy herein.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES

All of our jewelry is USMCA-compliant and is 100% handmade in Canada.

We do not have control over - and are not responsible for - customs duties/taxes/fees/tariffs charged at your border; the customer is solely responsible for making the payment and clearing their package with necessary documentation/information.

Due to recent regulatory changes, all imports valued $800 USD+ now require the submission of a 5106 form to the US Customs and Border Protection Agency (through FedEx). Previously, this was required for imports valued at over $2,500 USD. Failure to submit this form as quickly as possible may result in shipment delays or your package being returned to us. Please email us at info@elizabethblythe.com if you have any questions.

Refused Packages

It is the customer/receiver’s sole responsibility to pick up the package, pay taxes/duties, and fill out necessary customs forms to clear the shipment.

For shipments returned to us, customers must get in touch with us and cover the shipping charges, as well as the return shipping charge we incurred by having the package returned to sender.

Guarantee

If you have any problems with your jewellery with normal wear within the first 12 months after purchase, please contact me and I will be happy to repair it free of charge. This does not include chains or stones, and you may incur an additional cost if additional materials are required or it does not fall under normal wear and tear. Cost of shipping and return shipping is the responsibility of the client. Repairs may take 1-4 weeks.

Lab Grown Diamonds

Lab grown Diamonds are sold with the understanding that there is significant risk to lower prices due to the fact there is an endless supply. They are a synthetic product, manufactured in a factory setting. Considering historical similarities such as lab grown Sapphire/Ruby, we know the value will continue to drop over time. Lab Grown Diamonds will not hold their value in a way to be compared to Natural Diamonds and Gemstones, and we cannot be held responsible for dissatisfaction in the future.

Customer Pieces/Heirlooms

Elizabeth Blythe does not accept any responsibility for damages/loss that may occur in our possession and during shipping or transit for any customer pieces/heirlooms.

Sending your personal pieces away comes solely at risk to you. Diamonds and Gemstones are susceptible to damage and breaking during resetting and manufacturing. Elizabeth Blythe does not accept any liability for damage, breakage, or loss when working with personal pieces.

Elizabeth Blythe is not responsible for determining the quality, value, type, make, or species of your jewelry pieces. We recommend having the piece(s) insured yourself before shipping to us to cover your liability.

The client is responsible for covering the cost of shipping, insurance, and any additional duties or fees incurred in order to ship your heirloom pieces to us. In the event that there are any duties or fees upon delivery, they will be returned to you unpaid.

Care of Jewellery

Wearing your pieces regularly will ensure they stay bright and shiny. If not worn, sterling silver will tarnish over time, developing a patina and darkening. To bring back the brightness and shine, use warm water with gentle soap and a soft jewellery polishing cloth. Gold will not tarnish if unworn, and it will remain especially lustrous with continued wear.

Do not use harsh chemical silver cleaners or toothpaste, and do not attempt to polish oxidized pieces as the finish will erode. Oxidized jewellery will evolve over time, becoming brighter with wear. Please contact me if you wish to restore the original dark finish, or would like to restore any other plating (ie. white or black rhodium, or gold over base metal/silver).

Refund Policy

Due to the nature of custom work, I cannot offer refunds.

Privacy

We are committed to the protection and confidentiality of our customer's information. We guarantee that your information will not be sold to third parties.

Intellectual Property

All designs, including custom, are property of Elizabeth Blythe and can be replicated in whole or in part at any time with or without consent of the client.

Social Media

All designs may be anonymously shared on Elizabeth Blythe’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube). We will not share any content until after the proposal in order to protect the surprise. If you prefer your piece not be shared on any social media, please contact us in advance so there is no confusion. If you would like to be tagged, please let us know as well!
